Woke up several times in the night on the bus which makes me very grumpy in the morning, distant and vague. Once in Aspen, although this is not Aspen its 10 miles away, and breakfast, then a whole day hanging around by the laptop the ice cream shop with the altitude on high, 7,450 feet. My breathing is tight but the air is fresh, very fresh. I’m in my room all day feeling fat and not very happy about it, I have put on weight being here on tour, its not a big deal but I don’t want to go back to where I was. But that’s my problem. Today Aspen tomorrow the World. A late show tonight. 11.15.

I’m stuck on chapter four of my book, I keep re writing it, maybe because its about relationships and I’m not very good at them, I’m learning a lot about my attitude, and the altitude, so the work is paying off. A nap calls. If only I could bed this espresso. The show tonight was mad, a club full of young people all dancing and going ape, many of them well heeled ladies with smiling faces and cool moves. My dancing was up to 11, but the lack of air chilled some of my moments. I came back to the hotel with a guy called Jay who was 42 years sober, I did the right thing getting the ride up the mountain. Lovely people all having an amazing time in this rich ski city of Aspen. Goodnight down there, enjoy the clubs and the bars. Who was that lady by the bus, is she sober now, will i ever know?
