Ships and strings

This morning i spent some time talking with a lovely lady from Cunard about me working on board the Queen Mary in May, not as a butler but as a songwriting coach. Im excited, my sea legs are steady so it should be an easy trip to New York where i hope to play some solo shows. Its all in the planning. Over at 45 Glenn and i met with Del Newman who we had not seen for 23 years, and Lucy Large to discuss the string arrangements for the Albert Hall show. If it all comes off it will be an amazingly powerful night, the melodies that Glenn has written all those years ago will fly like doves out of the cage, it will be wonderful. For a Monday i would say thats not a bad start to the week. Back at the Mews its me with some tea pigs and fresh sheets on the bed upstairs. Rain falls and aeroplanes track low across the London skyline, its cold and damp out there, in here its toasty without the crusts.
